Vaughn A. Lippoldt

Vaughn Lippoldt earned an Associates of Arts degree from Dodge City Community College, Bachelor of Music Education from Bethany College, and Master of Music Education from University of Colorado. Vaughn began his 38 years as a Kansas Music Educator in Holyrood and then moved to Moundridge and Garden City public schools and Colby and Coffeyville community colleges. He culminated his 46 year career by serving as Music Program Chair at Iowa Western Community College. His vocal ensembles performed at state conventions in Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. He took ensembles on performance tours to Japan, England, and the Caribbean (USO tour). Mr. Lippoldt has served as President of Kansas Choral Directors Association, KMEA, and the Southwestern Division of MENC, as well as serving on the board of Iowa Choral Directors Association. In 1996 Vaughn received the KCDA Harry Robert Wilson award and in 2000 was selected as a Master Teacher by the Council Bluffs, Iowa issued a proclamation stating May 3, 2004 as Vaughn Lippoldt day for his influence in that community, church and greater southwest Iowa area. He continues to serve as a clinician and adjudicators for festivals in the Midwest and lead the church music program.
