Albert W. Hodges
Inducted in 1976
Albert W. Hodges taught music at Jamestown,
Attica, and Cullison prior to four years of service in
the U.S. Army during World War II, including three
years as an Army Air Force Band Director. He then
taught in Kearney, Nebraska from 1946-1955 before
moving to Southwestern College in Winfield. He
taught at Southwestern from 1955-1973 and later
served as a music therapist at the Winfield State
Hospital and Training Center. He was state
chairman for Collegiate MENC and was CBDNA
Kansas state chairman. He has been active in Phi
Beta Mu and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Hodges
received his bachelors degree in music from
Southwestern College and his masters degree from
the University of Northern Colorado.
