David E. Circle

David E. Circle is a native Kansan. He was born in Arkansas City where he graduated from high school and attended Cowley County Community College. He received his Bachelor of Music Education and Masters in Music degrees from Emporia State University and his Doctorate in Music from Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, Tennessee. He taught junior high and high school instrumental music and served as District Music Coordinator and Director of Fine Arts for the Shawnee Mission Public Schools for 34 years and then finished his career at Blue Valley as District Coordinating Teacher for Fine and Performing Arts and orchestra director at Blue Valley High School. His groups have consistently received superior ratings and performed at KMEA and Southwestern Division MENC. He is a past president of KMEA and Southwestern Division of MENC, and past president of the Administrators Association of Shawnee Mission.
