Elmer L. Snell
Inducted in 1981
Elmer L. Snell was born in Windon in 1913 and served music education in the State of Kansas for thirty-eight years. He has a bachelor's degree from Sterling College and did graduate work at Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University, and Emporia State University. He spent three years in the Army Air Corps. Snell began teaching in Alden, and then spent three years in Sylvan Grove. For twenty-two years, he taught band and choral music in the Larned public schools. He was active in community work in Larned and served the KMEA as state choral chair. He also belonged to KBA, the MENC, KNEA, and Phi Beta Mu.
